Summer Camp is like a potluck: you should bring something. Bring an experience, bring something weird, bring art, bring something to teach people, bring a quest.
As inspiration, the list to the right shows actual sessions run by attendees at Summer Camp 2024. (This year is modeled after the 2024 Summer Camp.)
What you bring need not end up on an official schedule, but there will be an official schedule which all attendees have access to and which you can add things to. You will be given access to that schedule after purchasing a ticket.
A four-day gathering at Lighthaven in Berkeley between LessOnline and Manifest. Think "hallway-track at a conference set at a liminal summer camp" but runs for four days. Staying up late and staying onsite are encouraged.
Mostly unstructured. The main feature of the format is that there will be a schedule that any attendee can book session space in. There are some organized workshops, campfires, and official sessions hosted by organizers and special guests, but the schedule is deliberately loose. The best stuff happens when you have time to wander.
People who would attend both LessOnline and Manifest who want to spend time with similar people in a chiller, more intimate, and less structured setting.
At Lighthaven (lighthaven.space) in Berkeley — a space dedicated to hosting events and programs that help people think better and improve humanity's long-term trajectory. Lighthaven is a project by Lightcone Infrastructure.
Some on-site housing is available and will be offered to attendees. Rooms are available now, but you can only currently purchase a 9 day or more stay. That number will go down every week.
Bring some kind of content for others to interact with! Bring a weird experience, bring a session, bring a quest you can pull from others to complete, bring an art installation made out of cured meats, bring something to teach people, bring games, bring something you would wish others had brought.
